At Grace Church, our music ministry is guided by a simple but profound conviction: worship is not primarily about performance, but about the gathered people of God lifting their voices together in joyful, heartfelt praise.

Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the richness of historic hymnody—songs that have sustained and taught the church for generations. At the same time, we gladly welcome newer hymns and songs that uphold the authority of Scripture with clarity and conviction.

We are blessed to have as Director of Music, Ken Berg, the longtime director and resident composer for the Birmingham Boys Choir, which he has led for nearly five decades.

Grace Church’s commitment to music is evident in our annual Lessons and Carols service. We also enjoy occasional special performances by our all-male and all-female choirs, adding variety and richness to our worship life. Whether through special programs or weekly services, our guiding priority remains the same: encouraging the joyful and sincere participation of the entire congregation in worshiping our Triune God.
